Purposes:
  • to learn what mindfulness is and what its benefits are

  • to learn how to practice mindfulness, in and away from daily life

  • to address challenges to practice (e.g., busyness; difficult situations, thoughts, emotions) and misconceptions about mindfulness

  • to become open to insights about life that come when we are living in mindfulness

  • to build habits of practice, so mindfulness becomes our default way of being, our way of life

  • exercises (e.g., guided meditation, daily life practice activities)

  • journaling, feedback, forum

  • weekly assignments (e.g., formal practice, practicing mindfulness of one or several activities of daily life, practice with emotions, thoughts; practice with difficulties)
